Touch-ups
Touch-ups are done to maintain your microblading. Without proper upkeep, the color will lighten over time. The color can last between 1 – 3 years and the pigment can begin fading within 12 months. Fading greatly depends on your skin type and tone, lifestyle, sun exposure, pigment color used, and your overall health. To keep your brows looking fresh, a touch-up is recommended every 1 – 2 years.
Touch-up appointments are optional. After the healing period of your initial treatment, about 4 – 6 weeks, you may want to schedule a touch-up to correct all the imperfections.
Microblading over an old eyebrow tattoo.
Clients with existing eyebrow tattooing or permanent make up come in all the time. However, not all cases are workable.
We can only cover up an old eyebrow tattoo up if the previous work is very light and the ink is not deposited too deep, too dark, or too dense.
If you're interested in microblading and you currently have permanent make up, send us some pictures — take three photos, one straight on and one from each side, showing the tail of each eyebrow. We will look at the photos to determine whether we can work with you. Ensure the photos are make-up free, without filters and with good lighting.
